Barkers Hairdressing Suppliers Limited is a trade only wholesaler. Products on this site are not for sale to members of the general publicor for the purpose of being sold on online-only shops. Salon websites are acceptable

By accepting these terms and conditions and ordering products from us, you are confirming that you are a qualified hairdresser, beauty therapist, nail technician, or other qualified professional, and as such are qualified and competent in using the products sold on this website. We will not be held responsible for any injury or damages incurred by unqualified users of our products. We reserve the right to ask for proof of professional status and to refuse to fulfil an order if we believe the person ordering is not a trade customer or purcashing products to resell online in bulk. As a business user, it is your responsibility to ensure that you are insured for products that you are using and/ or selling under professional guidance

To shop in-store, you will need to prove you work/are qualified in the hair or beauty industry. Our stores will accept the following as proof of such status:

• Salon business card and a letter from solicitor or accountant
• Third-party insurance certificate
• Course completion certificate
• Student enrolment letter, stating course dates
• Trade reference or buying card from another hair and beauty trade supplier
• Business cheque book or business credit card

Along with one of the following forms of identification:

• Driving licence
• Utility bill
• Passport

By purchasing a course place you are agreeing to the following:

• It is your responsibility to ensure the person(s) you are booking on the course meet the requirements as detailed within the course information before booking.
• Available places shown is an indication and not a guarantee that the amount of places are available.
• Advertised trainer is correct at time of booking, we reserve the right to change the trainer without notice at any time.

Please wear professional attire when attending a Barkers Hairdressing Suppliers Limited training course.

Most courses are refundable up to 21 days prior to the start date of the course (in some cases this may be up to 31 days, please check with a Barkers course advisor before you book). After this point courses are non-refundable and non-transferable under any circumstances. You may send a substitute delegate providing they meet the course criteria. We reserve the right to cancel the course date, in this case we will notify you 7 days prior to the event and advise you of an alternative date/venue or provide you with a full refund. In the event of a course cancellation less than 7 days notice, a new course date or refund will be organised for you, however, in this instance, Barkers Hairdressing Suppliers Limited are not liable for travel expenses, childcare, potential loss of income or any potential associated costs. Payment in full for any course offered by Barkers Hairdressing Suppliers Limited is required prior to the start date subject to our discretion.

It is your responsibility to check with your potential/existing insurance provider and/or county council to ensure you are able to gain your public liability, business insurance and any council license requirements before booking a training course through Barkers Hairdressing Suppliers Limited.

Pricing

We reserve the right to correct any pricing errors on the site at any time. All orders for goods are subject to availability and Barkers Hairdressing Suppliers Limited reserves the right to refuse to supply to any individual or company for whatever reason.

All prices are exclusive of VAT and delivery and are quoted in Pounds Sterling unless otherwise stated.

Special offers and promotions

Special offers and promotions are subject to availability and may change without notice. In-store offers may not be available online; online offers may not be available in-store. When a free or discounted product is issued as part of a special offer, this must be returned or full selling price paid if the qualifying product is returned as unwanted.

VAT Free Sale terms

Our VAT Free Sale means the total payable is the pre-VAT total of the merchandise. You will still be charged VAT (as applicable by law) but the total amount you pay is as if we had not charged it. For example, if a product costs £10.00 + VAT, the total you would pay is £12.00. When we have a VAT Free Sale, we discount the price down to £8.33 + VAT so the total you pay is £10.00, equal to that of the original price without the VAT.

VAT Free discount does not apply to the delivery charge and will not be applied to products already subject to a price reduction or discount. Training courses and salon furniture are excluded from the offer.

Payment

Payment in full is required to be made by any of the following credit/debit cards: Visa (including Electron), MasterCard or Maestro through this website prior to dispatch of goods. Please contact us by phone to arrange other payment methods (i.e. per your account terms).

If your order is delivered via courier service, we may pass your email address and/or mobile number to our courier company. This will enable them to notify you when the parcel is out for delivery and give you the option to rearrange if necessary. This service will not apply to goods dispatched direct from our suppliers or deliveries made by our own drivers.

Your online account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password and for restricting access to your computer to prevent unauthorised access to your account. You agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account or password. If you believe that your password has become known to anyone else, you must inform us immediately.

Ownership of goods

We will retain ownership of the goods you order until we receive payment in full for the order including any applicable delivery charges. Once the goods have been delivered to you they will be held at your own risk and we will not be liable for their loss or destruction.

Faulty or wrongly delivered goods

We always take great care to ensure all goods you receive are correct and undamaged, however, in rare cases where incorrect or damaged goods are received, please inform us by email within 48 hours of delivery to sales@barkershairdressing.com. We'll arrange a collection of the goods (at our cost) and send out replacements as soon as possible. If it is more convenient for you to send the goods back to us, return to us using a recorded delivery service and we'll reimburse you the cost of this.
